Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, the Tiny DevOps guy.

Jonathan: Hello and welcome to episode zero of Tiny DevOps. Yes, I'm a geek. Everything has to be zero indexed, of course. I am your host Jonathan Hall. Today I have with me-- me? Is that right?

Tiny Jonathan: That's right.

Jonathan: Okay, me. Can you introduce myself?

Tiny Jonathan: Sure. I'm Jonathan Hall. I am the Tiny DevOps guy and I help small companies do amazing DevOps.

Jonathan: What's unique about DevOps for small companies?

Tiny Jonathan: Of course, doing DevOps doesn't depend on the size of your company, but I've noticed a bias in the conferences and literature that most of the company is really talking about. DevOps are big companies, and of course, it's fun and interesting to hear the stories from Google, Netflix, Amazon about the amazing things they're doing, but the truth is that most of us, most engineers, will never work at that sort of scale. Most of us work in small companies or medium-sized companies. Many of us work on one-person teams where maybe we're the sole developer and an operations person and we're responsible for everything. My goal is to focus on these sorts of people and help people on these small teams do really good DevOps.

Jonathan: That's what this podcast is about?

Tiny Jonathan: That's exactly right. My goal with this podcast is to interview people who can provide us with some tricks and techniques on how we can do effective DevOps without having a thousand engineers.

Jonathan: Well, that sounds good. Where can we get more information about this?

Tiny Jonathan: The most obvious thing you can do, of course, is on your favorite podcatcher search for Tiny DevOps or go to the website podcast.jhall.io.

Jonathan: If listeners are interested in following me?

Tiny Jonathan: Probably the best way to keep in touch with me is through my daily mailing list. You can sign up @jhall.io/daily, or you can follow me on LinkedIn or Twitter, where I go by Tiny DevOps.
