Cut it out!

It's practically a truism that to do something new, you have to do less of something old. What will you cut for 2023?

Yesterday I asked you to hold me accountable for some of my 2023 goals. Some of you responded with some of your goals, and I’ll be reaching out in June to check in on your progress, too. (And it’s not too late to send me your goals if you’d like some mutual accountability!)

It’s practically a truism that to do something new, you have to do less of something old. But I think this is often overlooked (at least I have been known to overlook it).

So I want you to consider: What will you cut, to allow you to achieve these goals?

Here are some things I’ll be cutting to make my goals more achievable:

  • I’m putting The Tiny DevOps Podcast on hold, at least through March.
  • I’m temporarily cutting back to 5-days per week for this message. I actually made this change unofficially a few weeks ago.
  • I’m no longer cross-posting this daily post to dev.to, because it was not completely automated, and therefore taking too much of my time.
  • I’ll be delegating more tasks to my virtual assistant

Alright, your turn. What’s on your cut list?
