DevOps doesn't mean you can't specialize

DevOps doesn't mean everyone on the team has to behave like clones.

“We don’t want to do DevOps, because we aren’t interested in becoming full-stack developers and learning Kubernetes.”

Have you ever heard (or felt) this?

It’s sadly a common misconception about DevOps.

But DevOps doesn’t mean everyone on the team has to behave like clones, with the same Dev and Ops responsibilities, let alone frontend, backend, UX design, and QA testing responsibilities.

DevOps simply means that Dev and Ops (and everyone else) have a common goal, rather than being set up as opposing each other. DevOps means cooperation.
