Two things to do when you break the buildI broke the build. Again.
I broke the build.
That means two things.
- Today I reverted the breaking change immediately.
- I’ll be writing a test to prevent that breakage from happening again.
I’m still not sure what it is about the breaking commit that actually caused it to fail. But I’ll be investigating that, and adding my test first thing tomorrow.
Which skill is more important: Testing, or debugging?
One of these skills, if you're good at it, diminishes the need for the other other.

Although I was inspired to catalog a number of my own personal opinions about software development, which may be more controversial.
