I'm back!

I respond to the feedback you gave me last week.

A little over a week ago, I asked you for some feedback about this daily mailing list, and I mentioned I was taking a break, while I went on a short holiday with my family. Well, now I’m back!

Actually, I came back yeterday, but the belated podcast announcement prevented me from reflecting on the feedback I received from you at the time.

A common theme I heard from those of you who responded was that you’d appreciate more hands-on topics. One person even suggested that my emails would be more valuable if they “magically solved the problems that they provoke thoughts about”! I wish! 🪄 I’ll put that under the “hands-on” column, though 😉

So I’m going to try re-focusing my efforts a bit, to talk about more specific, more tangible things related to software delivery. I’m going to remain as technology-agnostic as possible, because most of this topic doesn’t depend on the specific language, framework, or cloud provider you’re using.

For the rest of this week, I’ll be talking about some of the specific hands-on tasks I’m working on with my active clients, as this should serve as rich material for relevant discussion. I hope you’ll challenge me with your own questions and struggles as well.

And while sadly I can’t offer a magic solution to any of the problems I provoke thoughts about… I would like to mention that I have recently had an opening in my weekly schedule, so I am available for hire. If you need the next best thing to a magic solution, hit me up, and let’s see how I can help you. 😊
