We hear a lot that “DevOps is a mindset” or “DevOps is about culture.”

If that’s true, then how do we adjust our organizational culture so that it can benefit from DevOps?

Well, according to the authors of Accelerate: The Science of Lean Software and DevOps the question itself implies a reveral of cause and effect.

Lean management along with … continuous delivery, do in fact impact culture.

You can act your way to a better culture by implementing these practices in technology.

To simplify: Doing DevOpsy things begins to transform your culture for you.

This is one of the core reasons I advocate implementing continous delivery as soon as possible in your organization, even before automating testing.
